Pradip is a technology innovator, entrepreneur, and an angel investor working to bring innovative technology solutions to solve real life problems besetting our communities.
Based in St. Louis, USA, he is founder of The Exponential Group (TEG) LLC, with an investment portfolio that includes startups to: 1) deploy scalable solutions to eliminate inequities in delivering plentiful nutrition to children and adults in our communities - in a self-funding, environmentally sustainable manner; 2) promote extraordinary opportunities for K-12 students and teachers to prepare the most-skilled workforce of the future, and 3) preserve and promote language, art forms, natural and cultural heritage of Assam and her sister states of the North East India Pradip originally hailed from.
Pradip received his undergraduate (Barpeta & Cotton College) and postgraduate (Gauhati University) education in Assam. He taught physical chemistry in Digboi and Jorhat Science College in Assam before receiving his Ph.D. In Chemistry from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA.
Pradip led global research and development organizations in US, Argentina, Brazil, France, South Africa and UK over four decades, bringing innovative advancements in high throughput analytical chemistry technology platforms in phenolytics, proteomics, metabolic profiling, robotics and automation, and data science & modeling. He led precision agriculture teams to develop industry-leading commercialized prescriptive digital farming products, based on novel algorithms and big data analytics, enabled by multilevel sensor data and satellite imagery.
Throughout his corporate research career, Pradip led science and technology collaborations with corporations, universities, and US Department of Energy (DOE) national labs. He provided consulting to US DOE in the areas of advanced technology development for bioenergy and renewable energy research.
His commitment to K-12 education led him to serve on the board of directors of Ladue school district Education Foundation in St. Louis, including as its president.
Pradip is an active member of Singularity University, the global organization working to accelerate exponential technologies that bring massively transformative solutions to global grand challenges affecting the planet. He sponsors conferences in Artificial Intelligence and other exponential technologies to usher in educational benefits to the communities.
Pradip has a passion for mentoring entrepreneurs. He serves on the board of directors of Arch Grants, a non-profit that provides seed grants to startups, selected through global competitions. As angel investor, TEG LLC provides seed funding to startups as well as promotes them to other investors in the designated focus areas.
