We are a bunch of dreamers coming together to shape our dreams - not the kind of dreams which we enjoy while we are asleep, but the kind which stops us from falling asleep… 

 

Together we have created ‘red river & blue hills’.

 

Red river & blue hills is here to make world class, content driven films. Our aim is to tell stories which are liberating independent in nature, push the envelope and have a strong possibility of a global appeal. To give a banal example, we intend to be a boutique hotel rather than a 5 star one. In other words, we want our films to have soul. 

 

Our target is the sensitive and discerning audience - but not necessarily only the elitist art house kind. We will ensure that our films reach out to like-minded global audiences, cutting across geographical and linguistic boundaries. With this end in mind, we aim to have international collaborations right from the conceptualization stage of our films.

 

The locale and stories of our first few films originates at one of the most exotic and unexplored parts of the world –the Northeast of India. Though based there, the philosophy of our stories, their treatment and presentation will be -  'the more local we go, the more global it becomes'.  These films will be having some unique appeals due to the subject matter and locations, thus setting them apart from the regular run of the mill stuff.
